Interamente dedicata alle arti decorative e industriali americane, la galleria OLD si occupa in modo particolare di importare dagli USA gli oggetti più rappresentativi degli anni ’30 e ’40. Non solo juke boxes, slot machines, vending machines e tutte quelle meravigliose macchine che videro la luce e il successo negli USA tra le due guerre, ma anche mobili ed oggetti dei più importanti designer americani di quell’epoca: Norman Bel Geddes, Donald Deskey, Gilbert Rohde e Walter Dorwing Teague. Paolo ed Elisabetta De Angelis, titolari della OLD, vogliono presentare una visione completa degli stili di quel periodo oggi attualissimo in quanto animato da una nascente potenza industriale e tecnologica che molto assomiglia all’entusiasmo attuale per l’inizio del nuovo millennio. Tutti oggetti diversissimi tra loro, ma con un comune denominatore la straordinaria magia dell’America anteguerra. La galleria OLD noleggia per set fotografici, televisivi e cinematografici.

Entirely dedicated to decorative and industrial American arts, the Gallery OLD is especially interested in importing from the USA the most representative objects of Thirties and Forties. Not only juke boxes, slot machines, vending machines and those wonderful machines born in the USA between the two World Wars, but also furniture and pieces created by the most important american designers of that time such as Norman Bel Geddes, Donald Deskey, Gilbert Rohde and Walter Dorwing Teague. Paolo and Elisabetta De Angelis, owners of the Gallery OLD, intend to present a complete overview of the styles in Thirties and Forties - a very actual age, animated by a growing industrial and technological power so similar to our actual enthusiasm for the beginning of the new millennium. Many different objects which all share the extraordinary fascination of the pre-war period in the United States. The Gallery OLD also hires out its pieces for photographical or movie sets.
